Wrinkle Relaxers, Migraines, TMJ and Excess Sweating

Smooth and soften fine lines and wrinkles, treat migraines, temporomandibular disorder, and hyperhidrosis

Wrinkle Relaxers

Wrinkle relaxing products treat muscle movement that cause fine lines and wrinkles. The injections are strategically placed into facial muscles to reduce movement during facial expressions, resulting in a softer, smoother and more youthful appearance.

Facial Enhancement

Botox® and Jeuveau® are derived of botulinumtoxin type A and FDA-approved to reduce major muscle movement that causes facial lines and wrinkles. The most common treatment areas include the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines (11’s). Wrinkle relaxers are dosed by units. Your muscle strength and severity of creases will be assessed during the consultation to determine how many units you will need. Treatments can be administered the same-day as your consultation.

What to Expect

The treatment consists of multiple small injection sites in targeted areas to achieve your desired look. Minimal discomfort can be expected during the injections but numbing cream can be applied upon request. Some clients experience minor red marks, bumps, or tenderness after the injections, but these reactions are normal and go away on their own. It takes approximately 7-10 days for the medication to take full effect and you can enjoy the results for 3-4 months on average.

Therapeutic Uses for Botox®

In addition to treating facial lines and wrinkles, Botox® has therapeutic uses that can address a variety of medical conditions such as chronic migraines, temporomandibular disorder (TMD/TMJ), and hyperhidrosis (excess sweating).

botox for migraines

Chronic Migraines

Chronic Migraine is defined as having 15 or more headache days per month, each lasting 4 hours or more. At least 8 of the headache days must be associated with migraine. BOTOX® prevents (on average) 8 to 9 headache days and migraine/probable migraine days a month (vs 6 to 7 for placebo). Treatment is needed about every three months to retain the benefit.

Temporomandibular disorder (TMD/TMJ)

In cases of TMD, the muscles that are used for chewing and eating are often tight or spasm on occasion, causing frequent or ongoing jaw tightness, clenching, and even nighttime tooth grinding (bruxism). Botox® relaxes these muscles, relieving the tightness and pain associated. In addition, some people do notice a “softening” of their jawline appearance as a result of these injections. Treatment is needed about every three months to retain the benefit.

botox for hyperhidrosis excess sweating

BOTOX® can be injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe sweating when traditional antiperspirants do not work well enough. In a clinical study, the duration of response in patients receiving Botox® treatment was 201 days, or 6.7 months.

Danielle & Jeff are warm welcoming and professional. Danielle has a delicate caring touch and vast experience that shows in the final results. Before Skintastic I’ve been to several other places for treatment, this is by far the best and won’t trust anyone else from now on. Have used Danielle for the past year for three different kind treatments and very pleased.

I worked as a Dermatology nurse for close to 10 years and have seen and assisted with many cosmetic treatments in the past. I have to say that Danielle is one of the best providers you will ever find! She takes the time needed to explain the procedure. She makes you feel comfortable and welcome. She is highly trained on the newest techniques and every service is performed at the top level. You won’t find a better value in a more modern, welcoming environment anywhere.
CO2 Chest Resurfacing Treatment:First off, it begins as soon as you walk in–there’s a warm welcome. They always take a moment to chat with you before the procedure begins.I got my chest resurfaced to get rid of the lines. Danielle talked at length with me prior to the procedure. I also tend to “bird walk” to ask her other questions that had nothing to do with the procedure and she was so responsive. She didn’t make me feel like I had to hurry to ask questions. Anyhow, she did such a GREAT job of making sure I was as comfortable as possible and checking in with me the whole time. I’m also going back to take care of my face. She’s just so awesome and I highly, highly recommend her for all of her procedures that she offers.
