Wrinkle Relaxers, Migraines, TMJ and Excess Sweating
Smooth and soften fine lines and wrinkles, treat migraines, temporomandibular disorder, and hyperhidrosis
Wrinkle Relaxers
Wrinkle relaxing products treat muscle movement that cause fine lines and wrinkles. The injections are strategically placed into facial muscles to reduce movement during facial expressions, resulting in a softer, smoother and more youthful appearance.
Facial Enhancement
Botox® and Jeuveau® are derived of botulinumtoxin type A and FDA-approved to reduce major muscle movement that causes facial lines and wrinkles. The most common treatment areas include the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines (11’s). Wrinkle relaxers are dosed by units. Your muscle strength and severity of creases will be assessed during the consultation to determine how many units you will need. Treatments can be administered the same-day as your consultation.

What to Expect
The treatment consists of multiple small injection sites in targeted areas to achieve your desired look. Minimal discomfort can be expected during the injections but numbing cream can be applied upon request. Some clients experience minor red marks, bumps, or tenderness after the injections, but these reactions are normal and go away on their own. It takes approximately 7-10 days for the medication to take full effect and you can enjoy the results for 3-4 months on average.

Therapeutic Uses for Botox®
In addition to treating facial lines and wrinkles, Botox® has therapeutic uses that can address a variety of medical conditions such as chronic migraines, temporomandibular disorder (TMD/TMJ), and hyperhidrosis (excess sweating).

Chronic Migraines
Chronic Migraine is defined as having 15 or more headache days per month, each lasting 4 hours or more. At least 8 of the headache days must be associated with migraine. BOTOX® prevents (on average) 8 to 9 headache days and migraine/probable migraine days a month (vs 6 to 7 for placebo). Treatment is needed about every three months to retain the benefit.
Temporomandibular disorder (TMD/TMJ)
In cases of TMD, the muscles that are used for chewing and eating are often tight or spasm on occasion, causing frequent or ongoing jaw tightness, clenching, and even nighttime tooth grinding (bruxism). Botox® relaxes these muscles, relieving the tightness and pain associated. In addition, some people do notice a “softening” of their jawline appearance as a result of these injections. Treatment is needed about every three months to retain the benefit.

Hyperhidrosis
BOTOX® can be injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe sweating when traditional antiperspirants do not work well enough. In a clinical study, the duration of response in patients receiving Botox® treatment was 201 days, or 6.7 months.
